A New Family Heirloom

My beautiful daughter Bailey got married yesterday to her love Taylor Sulzen. ❤️ I started this quilt in September 2017 and it was the quilt that inspired One Common Thread. I wanted to start a tradition by giving all of my children a handmade quilt on their wedding day. (I’m stealing the phrase “baby making quilt” from Sandra Bullock’s movie The Proposal!) I was 15 months into this quilt when I hired sweet Skarleth to make some hexis to advance the process. From there quilt kits were made and now some of our finished quilts and wall hangings.
